Dr. Howard Gluss (Dr.G), Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Los Angeles (PSY21522), is a host, author, psychotherapist, entrepreneur, speaker and entertainment consultant.
As a media host Dr. G has been broadcasting in the U.S. since 2006. Dr. G: Engaging Minds - The Podcast brings insightful conversations with experts and thought leaders to look at our world from a “deeper, more psychological point of view.” Engaging Minds TV talk show (BEOND.TV and KDOC-TV), which began on KABC–AM790 radio, shares the journeys of extraordinary people who have overcome their addiction struggles to create a life driven by passion. Dr. G shares mental health “touch points” on social media in Walk To Work with Dr. G, and psychoanalysis of TV and film content with Dr. G: Entertainment. His soon to be released podcast WHY? explores “why we do what we do when our behavior makes no sense.”
In addition to his private practice, Dr. G is the founder of Daraknot Health, a uniquely tailored, psychodynamic, therapeutic approach to addiction rehabilitation that fits the individual needs of each client in the comfort and privacy of their home or a hotel. Daraknot Health utilizes The Gluss Method® developed by Dr. G.
REEL PEOPLE: Finding Ourselves in the Movies is Dr. G’s award-winning book about the psychology of creating a character. Dr. G has been a consultant and script supervisor for many television and film projects including TV series Once and Again, and the opera, Séance on a Wet Afternoon, by Stephen Schwartz (WICKED).
